Oh I LOVE those. Ask Mike sometime about our trip to Biltmore. It started with his 103 degree fever and ended with a huge fight :) I'm not sure I'll ever be able to get him back there. Next trip up visit the Carl Sandburg house (if you haven't already been there). It's one of our favorites. Oh and the rose picture needs to be entered in the fair this year!! It's so beautiful.
we took the kids to Connemara about 5 years ago. The girls don't remember it and Pat remembers the bamboo forest between house and barn area...why no one remembers the goats or the house, I don't know. I thought it was a sweet little homestead with great history. We tend to do travel when it is hot and people get testy, but all in all it was a great time!Vin really wanted to hike Chimney Rock, but the girls were not up for it.So, creeking in the river was the alternative and browsing the shops.
