Tuesday

This tree was hit by lightning more than 10 yrs ago. It bears the scar of that traumatic event. Since then, it has grown in stature, it has taken hurricane strength winds, drought, heat waves,etc... I am sure one day the weight of the tree will bring it down, but for now it keeps on bearing leaves each spring and nuts each fall.
I have a few friends that are like this tree; they bear scares of their younger lives. Yet, they are strong, beautiful and bearing fruit.
I look out my kitchen window as I do the dishes and I see this tree. It is a reminder to me, to keep bearing fruit regardless, He will strengthen me. I think of my friends, and praise God that He has seen them through and placed them in my life as a blessing.

He is so Good, He takes us as we are and turns even the ugliest scars into something beautiful!

Happy Tuesday!

Karen, I love that picture. I haven't spoken to you in awhile!! We have the state inspector coming next week. Sends us into a PANIC. After this week I should be much better.

Beautiful post. It's a great reminder that no matter what scars we all carry, we still need to be producing fruit. In fact, pruned trees and bushes produce even more!! Thanks for the reminder.
