Freedom from Tyranny (of sin)

Title: Gaither Vocal Band - Let Freedom Ring lyrics
Artist: Gaither Vocal Band Lyrics

Deep within the heart has always known that there was freedom
Somehow breathed into the very soul alive
The prisoner, the powerless, the saved have always known it
There's something that keeps reaching for the sky

Even life begins because a baby fights for freedom
And songs we love to sing have freedom's theme
Some have walked through fire and flood to find a place of freedom
And some faced hell itself for freedom's dream

Let freedom ring wherever minds know what it means to be in chains
Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
We can be free and we can sing --- let freedom ring

God built freedom into every fiber of creation
And He meant for us to all be free and whole
When my Lord bought freedom with the blood of His redemption
His cross stamped pardon on my very soul

I'll sing it out with every breath, I'll let the whole world hear it
This hallelujah anthem of the free
That iron bars and heavy chains can never hold us captive
The Son has made us free and free indeed

Let freedom ring down through the ages from a hill called Calvary
Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
You can be free and you can sing let freedom ring
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
You can be free and you can sing let freedom ringYou can be free and you can sing --- let freedom ring --- let freedom ring

A1C Grassi

Pat's 1 year anniversary is today. He left for BMT in San Antonio from Fayetteville, a little unsure of what was to come.

Today, he called me as he walked to work at 4:00AM (Las Vegas time).

He is a man who takes on responsibility and has gained respect from his Officers and peers alike. He is serving country, and like so many of our brave men and women in uniform, sometimes gets discouraged with it all. But, still believes in what he is doing and hopes to do his best. We are proud of him!

Hoping to see him in November, this is if he ever gets his tickets...;-)

The one drawing he sent to me. A co-worker draws each new person who comes in. The likeness is incredible...can you find Pat?

The wedding pic is a spoof! ( he tried to fool us with pics and saying he and Amy got married...ha ha)

"Core Values
The Air Force bases these core competencies and distinctive capabilities on a shared commitment to three values: Integrity first, Service before self, and Excellence in all we do."

Vince and I really liked these values and wished that more people would adhere to them. Sounds like a good thing, doesn't it?

Support our Troops

Saturday we decided to do our regular family outing and head out to Raleigh for the Support our Troops parade. We took too long to get started and missed the parade, but did enjoy meeting some of the troops and asking questions about various aspects of military guns, technology and of course truck mechanics!
News reported that NC is the military friendliest state, and a lot of people came out to show their support and the men and women in uniform were really quite friendly and appreciative.
Don't forget to pray for them!
