May brought a lot of activity to the house. FFA events for Mich, Bible Studies, and meetings.
Studied Holy Spirit, relationships, I AM passages in JOHN, Pentecost, Lame Man, the Eunuch and Philip. I pray that I would be as obedient and responsive as Philip, and listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to move in my life!
Baby G is showing up in Dec. We are so excited.
Please pray for our nephew,Derek. He is serving in Afghanistan for a year.
Mich with too much bronzer, but she finishes her freshman year with a great GPA. So proud of her!

Elizabeth's 18!
Romans 12:1[ Place Your Life Before God ] So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. (the Message Bible)
I can't quite grasp the fact that my children grow up so quickly. I am amazed at them and how God has developed them physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Each different, a different paces; predictible yet so individualized! My LizB turned 18, has graduated High School, enrolled in Community college...has goals; is maturing...my heart wonders if we have done our best. Is she prepared? I can only trust in the Lord, ask for wisdom and pray she does the same. There are a lot of distractions in this world...but fixing our eyes on the Lord and His purposes will keep us from veering too far from the course. I am so excited for her;blessed to be part of her life. Thank the Lord for His loving-kindness, grace and mercy!

Happy 13th Birthday Michelle!
Lake Okeechobee Fl 6/20062Timothy 3: 14-17 NIV
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking , correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
We thank God for his blessings upon us, and Michelle is certainly one of them that we continue to Praise Him for! We are grateful to all those who gather around and help her to grow in her knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

retreating for the weekend
Last year, we went here;
so this year, we will be here.Who knows where we are going?
Debbie, Cora and I are looking forward to spending time with the Lord and one another as we put some plans down on paper. I always enjoy these get aways, not only are they fun and relaxing; they are really focused on the Lord and the women at our church. We get to pray for our church and for the coming year's activities! It is very sweet. Please pray along side us, for us to minister appropriately, for the Glory of our Great God to be magnified!
Vince will be sole manager of the household, watching over all aspects of everyday life....I hope that the cat isn't too picky about her litter box, or the dog doesn't throw up or have his seizures...I hope that they all enjoy one another and have terrific time. (they usually do) I hope I will be home in time by at least half time of the Superbowl! I really hope they take the garbage out and clean up after themselves...:-)

Happy Birthday!
then
| Psa 100:1 | A psalm of thanksgiving. Shout with joy to the LORD, O earth! | |
| Psa 100:2 | Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. | |
| Psa 100:3 | Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. | |
| Psa 100:4 | Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name. | |
| Psa 100:5 | For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. |
We are so blessed to have our angel in our midst. We pray that she would be a proclaimer of the Gospel! She is so integral to our family, she adds what no one can. She is a beautiful young woman, gifted with eyes to see what some can't. We love you Angela!
PS> Pat called this morning (early) and wished you a happy day!

A1C Grassi

Pat's 1 year anniversary is today. He left for BMT in San Antonio from Fayetteville, a little unsure of what was to come.
Today, he called me as he walked to work at 4:00AM (Las Vegas time).
He is a man who takes on responsibility and has gained respect from his Officers and peers alike. He is serving country, and like so many of our brave men and women in uniform, sometimes gets discouraged with it all. But, still believes in what he is doing and hopes to do his best. We are proud of him!
Hoping to see him in November, this is if he ever gets his tickets...;-)
The one drawing he sent to me. A co-worker draws each new person who comes in. The likeness is incredible...can you find Pat?
The wedding pic is a spoof! ( he tried to fool us with pics and saying he and Amy got married...ha ha)
"Core Values
The Air Force bases these core competencies and distinctive capabilities on a shared commitment to three values: Integrity first, Service before self, and Excellence in all we do."
Vince and I really liked these values and wished that more people would adhere to them. Sounds like a good thing, doesn't it?

school days

school is back in session. This year, we are involved in 3 schools! Middle School, High School and Insights School(homeschool). It is very different being in 3 different places. Last year, my eagles were fledglings, now they are morphing into cats-tigers, and jaguars.
Lots of prayers will be prayed. New friends will be made.
Hoping everyone starting school has a great year!

Happy 22 Birthday!(one day early)

Hard to believe but 22 years ago I had a baby boy scared out of the womb by a firecracker!(the people in the downstairs apt were playing with them)
My mom and Vince were present for the grand entrance. (Dad was in the hallway chatting with the nurses)I had planned to go home within 8 hours (since it was 10PM) but the high BP kept me there watching Indy 500 rerun due to rain out. Finally, we went home!
Patrick was a little squirt, dimples and all. What a time of joy and anxiety! I am sure a lot of you remember that feeling. Well, my squirt is now a big man, serving our country and most of all our God! We are proud of him and excited to see what else God has purposed him to do! (unfortunately, I don't have a scanner for all our 35mm of Pat, maybe one day...)
Have a terrific day, we love you and are so proud of you and your determination to do well!
Psalm 1: 1-3
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
We will eat cake in honor of you this weekend when the O clan gets together at Granddaddy and Betty's!

Let love be without hypocrisy
I have a friend who is trying to love her child. Her child is rebellious.
How will our children know we love them?
I read your blogs and love to look at the pictures and I look back on my babies. I see how you interact as grown children with your parents. There is fruit out there! Many are harvesting an abundance and it brings joy bubbling forth from my soul. So, to all of you, Thank you, and Thanks be to God!

got a call
Patrick called. He sounds pretty good. He has a cold, the TI is tougher than the others and although he is Services, a lot of the flight are hoping for special ops eventually. Makes for some friction. But, he is determined not to get into all that. So, he is looking forward to team building experiences after all this rigorous humbling....sounded really great to hear his voice. I can't wait to see him.
Hoping to see the Alamo while there...
